私が訪れたのは５月下旬でしたが、園内のキャンプ場に止めた車の中で寝ていると、翌朝には車に雪が積もっていました。さほど高度が高いようにも思えないところなので、ビックリしましたが、そういう厳しい気候が尖塔の形成に寄与したのかもしれませんね。
I visited the park in late May. I slept in my car at a camping site in the park. The following morning I woke up to find the car covered with snow. I was surprised to have snow at such a location not very high in the elevation, at such a time of the year. Such a harsh weather might have contributed to forming the columns.
