人気の観光地であるだけに、シーズン中の宿の確保は大変です。私は、一度は、到着当日のキャンセル待ちに挑戦しましたが、町に帰る最終バスの出発後にキャンセル待ちの結果発表があるので、非常にリスキーです。野宿覚悟で臨んだ（園内には熊も生息しています）ところ、私の前の人で最後！さあどうしようかと思っていたところ、その人はあきらめて帰っていたらしく、その場にいなかったので、私に回ってきて、ラッキー！２回目に訪れたときは、車だったので、最初から車内で寝るつもりだったのですが、キャンプ場もいっぱいで、結局、ビジターセンターの駐車場に車を止めて寝ることになりました。（本当は禁止なので、ガードマンらしき人が通るたびに身を隠していました。）でも、絶対にそれだけの値打ちがありますよ、ここは！
Being very popular, it is often difficult to get a hotel in Yosemite NP during the high season. I once tried cancelation waiting immediately at arrival. It was, however, highly risky because the result was to be announced after the last bus to the town departed. I challenged at the risk of sleeping outside in the park where bears lived. The result: Last room to the person just ahead of me! As I began to wonder what to do, the things suddenly became better. The last person called was not present! So the last room was passed over to me.
The second time I visited the park by car. I intended to stay at a camping site and sleep in the car. To my disappointment the camping site, too, was fully occupied. I ended up in sleeping in the car at a parking lot of the visitor center. As it was forbidden I hid myself every time a guardman walked by. Nonetheless this park is definitely worth such an effort!
