ツアーではなく、レンタカーで旅しましたが、当時（２００３年）、南アの治安は悪くなる一方のようでした。ヨハネスブルクは空港を使っただけで、街中には入らなかったのですが、プレトリアには泊まったので、知らない街中を自分で運転しました。ヨハネスブルクに比べれば、治安は良いはずですが、今ではどうなんでしょうか？これだけの観光資源があるのに、もったいないことです。
Crimes didn't cease to increase in South Africa when I visited in 2003. I travelled there by a rent-a-car. I avoided Johannesburg which was so notrious. But I did drive on the streets in Pretoria. Though Pretoria shall be much safer than Johannesburg, I don't know the current situation. It is a pity that we cannot easily and safely visit this country with full of touristic resources as shown above.
