フランクフルトからポーランド国営航空で入ったのですが、この飛行機はこれまで乗った中では最悪でした。近距離線ということもあるのでしょうが、狭いし、晴天で日ががんがん照りつけているのに、窓にカバーもカーテンもないしで、ぐったりしてしまいました。
宿の予約を入れずに行ったところ、行く先々のホテルで満室だと断られてしまい、ようやく少し離れたところにあるホテルのかなり高い部屋をなんとか確保することができました。旧東欧圏の国では、観光客の急増にまだ施設が追いついていないところがあるようです。
下の写真のスターリン時代の遺物は、ガチガチに頑丈に造られているために、取り壊すのが難しいそうです。
I flew to Warszawa (Warsaw) from Frankfurt, Germany, by Polisn national airline. The flight was a nightmare as the amenity on the plane was the worst among the planes I have ever got on. The seats and the aisle were hardly large enough for a person. I was burnt by sunshine deprived of freedom of movement, for the windows were equipped with neither cover or curtain.
As I visited the city without hotel reservation, I called on several hotels at arrival, to find out all were full, until eventually getting a rather expensive room at a hotel a bit away from the center center. It seemed that lodging facilities were not enough for rapidly increasing tourists in former Eastern European countries.
The building of the below photo is a remnat of Stalin Era. It's too firmly - stubbornly - built that it's difficult to dismantle.
