ハーグは事実上のオランダの首都で（憲法上の首都はアムステルダム）、行政機関の多い、落ち着いた町です。フェルメールやレンブラントの逸品を収めた小さいけれど質の高い美術館があります（マウリッツハウス美術館）。
Den Haag is the de facto capital of the Netherlands. (On paper Amsterdam is the capital.) It is a quiet city with lots of adminiatration offices. Mauritshuis Museum in den Haag is small but one of the best of the kind, with masterpieces of Vermeer, Rembrandt and so on.
