メディチ家が栄えた古都です。当時の建物や美術品が街中にあふれている。というよりも、街そのものが文化であるという趣で、圧倒的な迫力で迫ってきます。ヨーロッパ恐るべしです。ちなみに、ここの大衆食堂（タベルナ）で食べたＴボーンステーキは、決して高級品ではありませんが、私がこれまでに旅先で食べた食事の中で最高の味わいでした。
Old city governed by Medici family. It is not enough to say that there are plenty of historic buildings and artworks. I would rather say that the city itself embodies culture. It impresses us with overwhelming power. By the way, the T-bone steak I ate here at a popular restaurant is, though not a gourmet food, the best food I have ever taken on a trip.
