ロマンティック街道の終点フュッセンはノイシュバンシュタイン城で有名です。狂王ルートビッヒ２世の夢の跡ですが、本当に美しいです。わが姫路城と東西の双璧でしょうか？新緑、紅葉、白雪と四季折々の美しさがあり、私は３回も訪れてしまいました。城のふもとのホテルは高いので、いつも少し離れた畑の中にある安宿を利用していましたが、部屋によっては浴室の窓から月の光に照らされたノイシュバンシュタイン城が見え、極上の気分でした。
Fussen is the end (or starting) point of the Romantic Street. It is very popular among tourists with famous Schloss Neuschwanstein, a remnant of dream of Ludwig II "The Mad." Anyway, the castle is truly beautiful. If Himeji Castle is the masterpiece in the East, Schloss Neuschwanstein is the one in the West. In each season of the year it shows itself differently with fresh green, colored leaves or white snow, each of which is just marvelous. Addicted to its beauty I visited the castle three times in total. I always stayed at an economic lodging in middle of a farm, for the hotels at the skirt of the castle were expensive. I had a good view of the castle from the bathroom of my lodging. It was beyond anything to relax in a bathtub viewing the beautiful castle lit with the moonlight.
