ハイデルベルクと並んで有名な大学町ですが、ハイデルベルクがレンガ造りの町並みなのに対して、フライブルクは、普通のコンクリートの建物が多いので、あまり古い、しっとりとした感じはしませんでした。
Freiburg is a famous univercity town like Heidelberg. Yet unlike Heidelberg which is composed of many brick-laden buildings, Freiburg is filled with ordinary concrete-made buildings, making its atmosphere less calm or, one might say, "academic."
