地方では英語はほとんど通じませんでした。途中でバスが停車したときに、ふと不安になって、隣の人に目的地の名前を告げたところ、両手をグルグルさせてここで乗り換えるのだと教えてくれました。あれがなければどこに行っていたことやら。個人旅行にはやはり運が必要です。もっとも、言葉が分からないというのも、納得できないチップの要求を断るときの武器になったりして、悪いことばかりでもありませんが。
In countryside very few people understood English. When my bus stopped and I told my destination to another passenger, he told me to change buses there through body language. Without his advice, who knows where I had been taken? On personal trip we need a certain amount of luck.
